The machines themselves are not bad, but I can't stand VISTA. I really considered buying Macs but I could get almost 3x the machine for less than half the price with the HP's. I couldn't justify the expense. That's not to say that I wouldn't buy a Mac in a heartbeat if I had enough money to buy a comparable machine. I had an iBook G4 for a while, and it was a good little 'puter. Apple makes up for quantity with its quality. I had to buy a new laptop and a new desktop this year, and I went with HP for both.
