I don’t know about you but I have those times when I look at this blog and wonder if it is worth it.  Is is worth it to slave over putting up a post or two daily and not see any immediate results.  Rather in the form of money or in the form of feedback.  Is there anyone out there that even cares.  I find myself having to fight off the Not Have demons daily.  I describe the not have demons as my inner voice saying to give up.  You will never make anything out of this website or any other website that you are looking at starting.  I know I am not the only one who has gone through this.  So, here is how I deal with it.

Stop looking at the short term

I look at this site and I see that I only have 15 subscribers to my RSS feed and 20 subscribers to my email newsletter.  But 1 month ago I did not have any subscribers.  Over a month time I have had improvement in my stats and I have had a few visitors that have even cared enough to add to this blog by leaving comments. 

Short term is the small picture.  If you have a dream continue to focus on that dream until it becomes reality.

Focus on the BIG picture

The big picture is the dream of were you want your business to be in the year or two from now.  Concentrate on breaking that big picture down to small steps that you take everyday.  Don’t be so concerned about the payoff.  That is why most bloggers state that you have to start a blog about a subject that you love.  Are you enjoying what you are writing about?  If so, the payoff is just a bonus.  Once you have those little pieces together in your mind begin executing one piece of the big picture everyday.  You will be surprised at the result by the end of the year.  All of those little pieces start to add up and before long your big picture will be a reality.

So, start today.  Don’t let those NOT HAVE demons have any dominion on your life.  Fight them off and begin to live in your BIG picture with doing that one small piece of the puzzle today!

I have a problem when I talk to family or friends about opportunities.  I find myself trying to sell a dream to them and they just don’t get it.  They complain that they have ideas and want to do something but they just can’t get over the first hurdle.  Most of the time the first hurdle is themselves.  Either they say they don’t have enough time or they just don’t know how to execute a certain program.  Well, to that I say, Be A Doer Not A Watcher..

Time is a state of mind.  If I spend 6 hours in front of the TV every night, then yes, I don’t have enough time.  I used it all doing a non productive activity.  How about if TV is not your thing, but you love to sit on the phone for 2 to 3 hours.  Once again, not to productive.  Why not spend the same 2 to 6 hours studying what is not known.  That is a more productive use of time.

How about not being able to get over the hurdle of a media.  Of course I hear this plenty of times when I discuss my business.  I explain the ups and downs and the kind of rewards that could be gained.  But I also hear I can’t figure out how to set up a website or blog.  That is just not an excuse these days.  Now, there are so many automated programs that a website or blog can be set up in 15 to 20 minutes.  Not even a hours worth of time.

Why is it that I get it but I just can’t seem to make other people get it? 

So what are you?  Are you a watcher or a doer?  Do you enjoy just reading about the success of everyone else but you are not willing to put in the time and effort to make something happen.  Don’t get me wrong.  This is not easy and it takes a lot of time.  But in the long run it is all worth it.  So, what is your hurdle from reaching out and taking the bull by the horns. 

Be a doer, take the chance and make it happen.  Make your dreams come true and see how much more happy you will be because now, you have become a mover and shaker of the world.  Be a doer and start today!!!

We all need motivation from time to time.  I am not trying to offend anyone but I want you to get motivated and work towards your dreams.
