Video Marketing - Getting Started

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or the No-Hype, No-BS, No Spam MAT newsletter.. Thanks for visiting!

First of all I want to give a shout out to online video toolkit for all the hard work that he did. If it was not for this website, I would not have gotten as far as I have thus far with this venture.

Not that I have gotten to far, but just the few tips that I have gained from that website have saved me so much time it is impossible to relay in this message.

Anyways, I am back with an update to my venture into video marketing. Thus far I have:

  1. Purchases a camera
  2. Done my first video and put it up on youtube.com
  3. signed up for online video toolkit
  4. Downloaded Sony Vegas Movie Studio 8
  5. Made my second video and added my web address to the video
  6. Uploaded second video to youtube

To some this may have sound elementary and to some it is but just to get to this point took a month in the making.

Finding a camera was a weeks worth of time in itself. Mainly, because I did not just want to get any camera. I wanted one that would last me for a year or two. I think I made the right choice with the Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG9.

If you read my last post concerning video marketing, you know that I also had a problem with video editing. Mainly, I could not find a software package that would allow me to put text on the videos that I published. Well, problem solved. Enter Sony Vegas Movie Studio. If you have not tried it you should be pleasantly surprised.

So, now I am up and running and I hope that the next video will have some meaningful information to help everyone out. Till then.. Talk with you later…

Learning Video Marketing - First Video

I have found myself drawn into the video marketing realm. Something that I have been looking into for a while now but just did not put a lot of time into it.

Now, that I am trying to put some time into it I am finding that there are some very serious problems that I have to overcome. Well, they are not that serious, but I just don’t have any idea of how to make them happen.

1st problem: Get a camera….

I decided on the Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG9. It is a pretty good camera. It fits in your pocket and it is easy to carry around. The picture quality is good and it is able to take a SD chip to capture a large amount of data. It also comes with a rechargeable battery for long battery life. It is able to take still pictures and video.

Here is a picture:

2nd Problem:

I don’t know how to edit the videos. How to put wording in the videos or even change the background.

I have searched around the net but I have yet to find anything that can help me with this. I thought I solved this problem by purchasing Nero 8. But the software just does not seem to want to cooperate with me. So, I am still looking for something else. If anyone has any suggestions my ears are wide open.

Other than these two problems I am on with Video Marketing.

Hope to see everyone soon..
