Choose Wisely Your Affiliate Marketing Model
I have to say just leaving a job were I was working 8 to 10 hours per day plus weekend work is not attractive to me. I would like to develop a affiliate business that will leave time to allow me to travel, get away for days and still be able to deliver content that will increase my bottem line. But in affiliate marketing there are two frame of minds. Either you are going to develop websites that provide content that is optimized to keywords or your going to become a PPC genious that does not provide any content but pages upon pages of landing pages that have to be continuously optimized with other keywords.
The way that I just described this does not give a grim picture. Let me give some more detail. Lets say that you would have to spend 8 to 12 hours a day creating campaigns and watching google adwords keywords to make sure that they keywords don’t overrun you in cost with no sales. Imagine if this had to be done everyday. I would not call this freedom. I call this a job again. Its just that you don’t have to check in to a boss anymore. That is not attactive to me.
Instead, I would like to develop a website that is optimized to a certain bank of keywords and provide content twice a week or every other day. Thus, increasing the probability of making more money. This process can be put on auto pilot by having a blog on the keywords and spending 2 to 3 hours on the first and second day of the week writing articles and having them post at certain times on certain days. Thus, leaving time for you to explore other meaningful talents.
To me this sounds better than PPC marketing without a content website. Which would you rather maintain? So, choose wisely your affiliate marketing model.
