I have a question for you. Has google adsense paid off for you as you would have expected. For most people if they have the necessary traffic they would answer this question with a outstanding yes. But there are people that have the necessary traffic but google adsense has not had the return that was expected. I found that this could be for a number of reason but the top two that I have experienced is either the adsense menu is not in the correct positions or the website is not targeting the correct keywords.

Did you know that if google does not have an ad to serve it will serve a free ad that does not pay anything. Did you also know that if people are not bidding on a keyword that you are targeting you will not be any return on the adsense ads. Let me take that back, you may be a return but it will probably be .02 to .03 cents per click. Your goal should be to get at least .10 cents per click. That way if your traffic is low for the site say about 50 new clicks per day. If you were to get 10 clicks on your google adsense ads you could earn a dollar a day. That may not sound like a lot of money but 30 dollars a month could be a good return. Especially, if your hosting a site for 3 to 7 dollars a month. Multiply this with 10 more sites and you google adsense income could be 300 dollars per month. This is a prime example of how to multiply your google adsense income. But lets say that you increase your website traffic. Your adsense income will increase exponentially.

Now, lets look at adsense ad positioning. If you have read my other article “Google Adsense Page Positioning” you would have learned that the best positions to have google ads are near your menu areas. I preached in the last article to include it in the top left or right were ever you have an menu. But I want to add a few other areas that have paid off greatly for me.

First, I write and publish a lot of article and I have found that embedding google adsense ads in the articles has been a great resource. I recommend that you embed adsense at the top of the article. Right below that title and have your article wording to the left or right of the article. This took me a little time to figure out how to do this. So, I will embed that code here: Use this code to do this.

Opening div needs to have a preceding < and closing div needs to have a preceding < also.

div style=”padding-right: 5px; padding-left: 5px; float: left; padding-bottom: 5px; padding-top: 5px; display: block”> [google adsense script goes here] /div><— Your article Here —–>

Be sure to change the google_ad_channel tag to your channel number. This is used to track how your ads are doing. Also, change the google_ad_client tag to include you client tag. If this tag is incorrect you will not get paid.

This simple code will embed the google adsense ad directly to the left of the beginning part of the article. Also, be sure to add an google add to the end of your article. This is mainly for people that will read the entire article but may not scroll back up to click on your ad.

<!–[if !supportEmptyParas]–> <!–[endif]–>

I hope this little tidbit of information will increase you adsense income. Thanks and Goodbye…

it’s hard to make money from adsense without traffic. So I think one should focus on traffic first before putting adsense ads… But you are right, you can multiply your adsense earnings by making multiple sites, just be cautious not to be smart priced by adsense..http://spaceofinfluence.blogspot.com

# 1 Lady,
I don’t know if I can agree with having to have traffic first before I add adsense to any of my websites. I tend to add adsense as soon as I launch a new website. It does not matter if I have traffic or not. I do this because I believe any website I launch will have traffic, if I did due dillegance in my keyword research. If the keywords are right I will only have to create the links to the site and add content. Traffic will come!!
