Some website if you set them and leave them eventually will love rank in the serps. So, I would want to at least add a page or two to the site monthly after I get the serps that I want to maintain my positions. I am not really concerned with the dates. I read that post on Mark's blog as well. Are you creating this as a set it and forget it type site or you on updating it from time to time? Just asking cause i have read on different opinions on having the date on your post if you are doing the set it and forget it type blog so you site doesn't look like the information is outdated.
